WordPress Theme Wunderbar

You are looking at Wunderbar, a free-to-use, fast-loading, HTML5-validated Theme for WordPress 3.0 and later versions. It supports many of the new WordPress features like Post Formats, Custom Menus, Custom Headers and Custom Background Images — have a look at the options page.

Wunderbar is available in both English and German, has eight header images included (but feel free to use your own), comes in three different styles (Default, Blass and Sirup), and features four widget areas for easy drag’n'drop sidebar / footer customization.

It looks great in every major browser — freakin’ Internet Explorer included — and passed the official Theme Unit Test, which happens to be a series of posts and pages that match up with a checklist on the holy WordPress Codex to ensure all the formatting and image alignments are done right. Yay!

About the “lock-in effect”

Nowadays many WordPress themes lock their users in by providing “exclusive” features that work only with one particular theme. Once you switch to another theme parts of your site stop working! What the hell? Imagine you buy a new toothbrush, put it in the bathroom and all of a sudden the toilet is missing. Not cool at all. :/
Wunderbar does not lock you in: There are no fancy Custom Widgets, Shortcodes or pre-defined Custom Post Types which dematerialize as soon as you switch themes — Wunderbar uses what is provided by WordPress itself (like Core Widgets, Custom Menus etc.). If you need any other features: Use plugins! Future-You will love you for it. :)

  1. Any suggestions to make this theme look good on an iphone or similar? Responsive CSS doesn’t work too well there with the header image and mis-sized width. Thanks.

  2. Can try this for the logo issue :
    #branding img {
    height: auto;
    max-width: 940px;
    width :90%;
    margin:20px 30px -7px 30px;
    }

  3. Hi there! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when viewing from my iphone4. I’m
    trying to find a template or plugin that might be
    able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions,
    please share. With thanks!

  4. I am curious to find out what blog platform you’re utilizing? I’m experiencing some minor security issues
    with my latest website and I would like to find something more secure.
    Do you have any suggestions?

  5. Thanks for this article. I would also like to state that it can
    possibly be hard if you find yourself in school and merely starting
    out to initiate a long credit standing. There are many students who
    are just trying to make it and have a long or good credit history is often a
    difficult thing to have.

  6. Thanks for the strategies presented. One thing I also believe is credit cards
    featuring a 0% monthly interest often entice consumers with zero rate, instant endorsement and easy internet balance transfers, but beware of the most recognized factor that may void your 0% easy neighborhood annual percentage rate and as well
    as throw you out into the poor house quickly.
